After being granted its first registration in China, ADAM held a press conference in Qingdao, on the 1st March, 2019, to announce the launch of AGIL (propaquizafop 10% EC).

Since the full registration of haloxyfop-P-methyl in 1997, there has been not a single registration in China of herbicides that control grassy weeds of broad leaf crops. The launch of AGIL in China represents a new herbicidal ingredient in China for controlling grassy weed.

AGIL is a key product of ADAMA, which has greatly contributed to its business development and is a prime product on its portfolio. The active ingredient of AGIL is propaquizafop 10% EC, which was granted registration in 2018 and is a post-emergence selective herbicide. After its application, the product is absorbed quickly by the foliage of grassy weeds, and is then transferred to the entire plant and will accumulate in the meristematic tissue, inhibiting the plants acetyl-CoA carboxylase and blocking fatty acid synthesis, thus killing the weeds. AGIL has a very high adsorption capacity, which makes it resistant to rain for an hour after application.
