With food supply in peri l because of COVID-19, listed agriculture business firm AgriNurture, Inc. (ANI) is now eyeing 20,000 hectares of ancestral lands for its ricecorn blend project, which recently received the greenlight and support from the Department of Agriculture (DA).
With its approval of ANI’s proposal, DA is now proceeding with its plan to tap ancestral lands and turn them into food production areas.
Aside from funding support to ANI’s proposal, Agriculture Secretary William Dar said DA will mobilize its Regional Field Offices and collaborate with the National Commission on Indigenous People (NCIP) for the detailed planning and implementation of the company’s proposal.
