BASF continues to collaborate with digital agriculture partners by developing a connection between Meteus weather stations and the Decision Support Tool (OAD) at Atlas – Wheat Diseases with ISAGRI. This collaboration, which will be operational from the 2018-19 campaign, will enable farmers to maximize their digital tools by connecting them to each other.
With this connection, ISAGRI and BASF France wish to offer farmers the possibility of integrating their own weather data into the calculation of predictive models.
Each week, BASF Atlas – Wheat Diseases provides subscriber farmers and their crop technicians with wheat fungicide positioning advice. This advice to the plot allows farmers to anticipate several weeks of site organization and thus intervene at the right time and optimize the passages. The algorithms, developed by ARVALIS – Institut du vegetal on the one hand and BASF on the other hand, integrate spatialized weather data so far; they will also be able to integrate data from Meteus stations in the spring of 2019.
