Bohol Rep. Erico Aristotle Aumentado is calling on his colleagues to fully support his bill seeking to create the Biotechnology Authority of the Philippines (BioAP) to promote safe and responsible use of biotechnology in the country.
The chairman of the House Committee on Science and Technology expressed hope that House Bill No. 3372 or the proposed Modern Biotechnology Act, principally authored by AAMBIS-Owa partylist Rep. Sharon Garin, will be fully supported by the members of his panel.
I hope the members of the Committee will approve the measure on Tuesday, January 21, he said in a text message.
