DAVAO CITY – The Department of Agriculture in Davao Region (DA-11) is eyeing the establishment of a 200-hectare model Community Hybrid Rice Farming (CHRF) in the region, a statement from the agency said Wednesday.
DAVAO CITY The Department of Agriculture in Davao Region (DA-11) is eyeing the establishment of a 200-hectare model Community Hybrid Rice Farming (CHRF) in the region, a statement from the agency said Wednesday.
Currently, DA-11 is conducting CHRF community briefings in Magsaysay town in Davao del Sur and soon in Compostela, Davao de Oro which will be the pilot areas for this program with 100 hectares for each municipality.
The said municipalities will not only receive extension mechanization interventions but also processing and marketing support for them to produce their community’s own rice brand.
