DAVAO CITY — The Department of Agriculture in Davao Region (DA-11) has intensified its pest and disease detection for agricultural crops through its mobile pest clinic (MBC), a first in Mindanao.
Marilou Infante, DA-11 Regional Crop Protection Center (RCPC) chief, said farmers in remote areas can bring at designated public places samples of their plants and consult with a technical team that consists of pathologists, entomologists, and other experts.
We will identify areas where there is an outbreak. If there is none, we will coordinate with the local government units for a possibility of serving the people through a caravan, Infante told Philippine News Agency (PNA) on Sunday.
