Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, July 24) The Department of Agriculture partnered with the San Juan city government to encourage the its residents to produce their own food through the Urban Agriculture Program.
The DA said in a statement that both parties signed on Friday a memorandum of agreement to implement the program, which aims to empower families living in urban areas to produce their own food.
This is also part of efforts to ensure food supply amid the COVID-19 pandemic that caused disruption of food chain in the country, the department said.
