THE International Labor Organization (ILO) and the European Union (EU) recently launched the 262,000 (about P15.7 million) Responsible Supply Chains in Asia (RSCA).
The three-year initiative is part of the EU’s, 900-million funding, which covers six countries: China, Japan, Myanmar, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam, and is being jointly implemented with the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development.
For the Philippines, the ILO is focused on one sector, [which is] agriculture. In some countries, such as Thailand, three sectors are covered, said ILO-RSCA National Project Coordinator Ruby Baez.
