Voting through viva voce, lawmakers approved House Bill 6686. The lower house is expected to pass the measure on third and final reading next week.
The bill, which will amend Republic Act 97000, or the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) Extension with Reforms, seeks to provide immediate financial assistance to affected agrarian-reform beneficiaries in the event of natural calamities.
