CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY Local farmers here have expressed relief that they could still earn a living amid the quarantine, with the help of the Department of Agriculture’s (DA) Kadiwa on Wheels”.
Through the project, DA 10 (Northern Mindanao) reached out to the Canitoan Farmers Cooperative (Cafamco) here so that their fruits and vegetables could be sold in different areas in the city.
“This program helps farmers like us to survive the quarantine. Our members were able to sell their products and earn decently. We are hopeful this activity can be done not just once here in our place,” said Lucas Faborada, president of Cafamco.
