ABUYOG, Leyte — The Philippine Center for Postharvest Development and Mechanization (PHilMech) on Wednesday launched the Regional Technology Management and Demonstration Center (RTMDC) in this town.
Raul Paz, PhilMech deputy executive director, said the facility will allow farmers to gain easy access to information and technology services, with the overall aim of commercializing more postharvest and farm mechanization technologies.
“We want to be more aggressive in provinces to bring our technology closer to the people. Through modernization, we can mitigate the impact of climate change and produce more food,†Paz told farmers here.
