CABARROGUIS, Quirino, Oct. 10 (PIA) — Over a hundred of coffee producers in the province recently attended the first-ever Coffee Business Forum with the theme, Quirino Coffee: Brewing for Unity and Prosperity as one of the highlights of the 47th Quirino Day and Panagdadapun Festival.
In their messages, both Governor Junie Cua and Provincial Tourism Council Chairman Maria Angela Cua said that coffee farming is one of the solutions to fight poverty. Both of them also expressed confidence that by improving the economic condition of the farmers in the countryside the province will be able to attain its goal to become an Agro-Industrial Hub in the country.
Coffee farmers should not just aim to plant coffee trees, they should add value to their products by processing them into expensive coffee , Cua said, as he highlighted the need to develop the entrepreneurial spirit among the farmers.
