BUTUAN CITY, July 17 (PIA) – With the aim to help the agriculture sector in the province of Surigao del Sur, the provincial government has been stepping up its campaign and initiatives to fully implement the organic or the natural way of farming in all the municipalities of said province.
BUTUAN CITY, July 17 (PIA) – With the aim to help the agriculture sector in the province of Surigao del Sur, the provincial government has been stepping up its campaign and initiatives to fully implement the organic or the natural way of farming in all the municipalities of said province.
According to Vice Governor Librado Navarro, chair of the Committee on Agriculture, the provincial government wants to help the local farmers thru organic farming, which has great advantages and benefits not only to people, but also to the environment, as it helps preserve the fertility of the land.
Navarro added that it also prevents consumers from ingesting food with harmful chemicals that are linked to negative health effects.
