A two-day Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Industry Consultation spearheaded by the Technical Education Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Region-10 was supported by industry sectors from agriculture and construction at the Mallberry Suites Business Hotel in Cagayan de Oro City.
The consultation identified and validated information on the current and future skills or jobs requirements of the industry (particularly tech-voc skills), and discussed areas of partnerships on technical education and skills development (TESD) programs.
Major key players in the TVET sector shared their reputable knowledge on the development trends and projected skills requirements of the projected industry. The resource persons included Ptr. Ronnel E. Bayron, President of Yahshua Outsourcing Worldwide, Inc., who shared the emerging online platform for job recruitment and Dir. Mylah Faye Aurora B. Cariño, CESO III, Regional Director of the NEDA-X, presented the updates on Northern Mindanao’s Regional Development Investment Plan 2017-2022.
