TACLOBAN CITY– Thousands of government officials, researchers, and students will gather at the Samar State University for the Regional Science and Technology (S&T) Week 2018 celebration, showcasing the latest innovations in the country and in the region.
Edgardo Esperancilla, Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Eastern Visayas regional director, said in an interview Tuesday that the event will bring remarkable breakthroughs in the field of science and technology, as well as the newest technologies, products and services developed by the government.
DOST Secretary Fortunato dela Peña will lead the three-day event that will kick off on Wednesday to explain latest technologies such as rice plant growth promoter, development of native chicken and ducks, among others.
