Cotabato City The rat infestation that has ravaged a town in North Cotabato has spread to provinces in the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM), a top regional agriculture official said yesterday.
According to Alexander Alonto, regional secretary of the Department of Agriculture and Fisheries in ARMM (DAF-ARMM), the rodent menace arose from the widespread drought being experienced in Maguindanao, Sulu and Tawi-Tawi.
And he underscored that aside from the severe lack of irrigation in farm lands, farmers in the region are now also facing another menace rat infestation.
